Department of Trade of the city Ashgabat of the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan

The Department of Trade of the city Ashgabat is an independent state-owned enterprise that carries out its activities on an economic basis. It is on full economic self-sufficiency and self-financing.

The Department carries out the following types of work:

- Organizes expanded portable retail outlets during celebrations and public events at the state level and on an urban scale in the capital of the state,

- Carries out appropriate work on compliance with trade rules in retail outlets and public catering establishments located on the territory of the city of Ashgabat,

- In order to meet the demand for goods of daily consumption of the population of the capital, work is consistently carried out to study the commodity security of the city's markets and shops, as well as systematic work with relevant enterprises and organizations,

- On the basis of the “Methodological provision on statistical control over retail market sales prices for goods and services in commercial enterprises and in the service sector”, in order to clarify the average weekly sales prices for goods of enterprises, organizations and individual entrepreneurs, together with the Department of Statistics of the city Ashgabat, the Main Department of Economics and Development of the city Ashgabat, incoming letters are considered,

- Monitoring the equipment of shops, public catering establishments, points of trade and services of the city and issuing opinions on the basis of relevant appeals,

- Development of documents on compliance with the established working order for retail outlets, public catering establishments, points of trade and services of the city, regardless of their forms of ownership, established by the Administration of the city Ashgabat; provision of this working order for approval by the Administration of the city Ashgabat,

- According to the Ministry's decree No. 122 dated June 22, 2017, civil security in the city of Ashgabat is provided by the Trade and Food Service.
